Book Description

September 25, 2007
A suspense thriller by the best selling author of The Little Black Girl Lost series.

After stepping away from his thriller-suspense novels to write the phenomenally successful Little Black Girl Lost series, author Keith Lee Johnson has returned with some new flavor, along with some old friends, in his latest novel, Hell Has No Fury. In This suspense laden tale, Johnson brings back Phoenix Perry, the beautiful yet fearless FBI agent from his earlier novels, Sugar and Spice and Pretenses.
After a long stint at desk duty, Phoenix Perry is dragged back into the limelight when a family member is found beaten and near death. To complicate matters, there are two dead bodies at the scene, and Phoenix's cousin is the prime suspect. Can Phoenix find her cousin's attackers and prove her innocence before the body count becomes astronomical? A nationwide chase ensues, involving shady editors, crooked literary agents and host of others. If you're into suspense thrillers, this one is not to be missed.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT!, October 3, 2007
This review is from: Hell Has No Fury (Paperback)
From start to finish Keith Lee Johnson kept my attention wrapt in this page-turner. Phoenix Perry is drawn back into action when her Aunt Ruth calls with news that her cousin Michelle is in a coma. Little does Phoenix know that while she hunts to solve the mystery surrounding Michelle's condition, she too is being hunted. Full of intrigue and surprise twists K. L. J. has brought his readers another "must read" novel.

Keith never fails to draw me in. I can't put his books down. His easy style turns his words into reality. I feel I am living his books and not just reading. This one was no exception!

If you've never read his books, you should start now. What a joy.

In HELL HAS NO FURY, author Keith Lee Johnson reunites us with one of our favorite characters, Special Agent Phoenix Perry. When we join Special Agent Perry she has had a few years off, doing desk duty with the FBI, has a new addition to the family and seems comfortable. For those of us who have grown to love Special Agent Phoenix Perry, we know she is not satisfied working behind the desk. She enjoys action, adventure and the satisfaction that she has chased and captured the enemies. After a close family member is found beaten and near death, she goes back into what she loves to do as Special Agent Phoenix Perry. To complicate issues, are also two dead bodies at the crime scene and her family member is the prime suspect in those murders. She is on a hunt to find out the person or persons responsible for her family member's attack and to also prove her innocence. Her hunt is a nationwide chase that involves a host of shady and crooked so-called literary professionals. We also get to revisit some familiar characters from previous books in this series.

Keith Lee Johnson takes us on a thrilling ride in his writing. You think you have figured things out, but surprise, surprise that is not the answer and then you have additional questions that need to be answered. This book was a thriller from the first page to the last and will not leave you dissatisfied. There are some issues in this book that make you wonder: Can this really happen in real life?

I hope we have not seen the last of Special Agent Phoenix Perry because I believe she has more stories to come in the future. I would highly recommend this book to all and I believe you will thoroughly enjoy this book and, also, Mr. Johnson's writing.
