superb post-doomsday science fiction thriller,
This review is from: Hell Kat (Paperback)
Nuclear explosions have left much of the Earth devastated and civilization on the brink of extinction. In this post-apocalyptic realm, deadly scavengers seek fortunes anyway they can in hopes of a better life. One such lethal treasure seeker is Hell Kat who scrounges the ruins of great societies in order to find loot worth selling; accompanying her on her forays is her partner and sometimes lover Damien.
Hell Kat and Damien seek the Monmouth, a relic of the ancients worth a fortune. However to obtain the valuable technological device, they must enter Vanquished City, home to numerous mutants born in radiation. Joining them on their quest is her rival Hades, a man Kat secretly desires, and their guide Darquiel, who frightens Kat because her long time teammate Damien seems more loyal to him than her. The quest begins that only can be considered successful if they obtain the electronic gizmo, sell it, and use the money to escape the dangerous outer rim; the probability of success in each of the team member's minds: zero. The cover looks more like comic book art, but for those who believe that makes HELL KAT targeting children means you have not read comic books in decades. The dark story line is action-packed with an incredible descriptive concrete and iron wasteland as seen through the eyes of the four travelers. Besides learning the depth of the nuclear holocaust, fans also understand the motives of each of the prime players yet that never slows down the pace; neither does the few sexual encounters that in fact enhance the comprehension of morality. Vivi Anna paints a nightmarish gory tale of a future hell on earth. Those with strong stomachs will fully cherish and demand more such post-doomsday science fiction thrillers. Harriet Klausner

OMG!!!,

Hell Kat was the first book I read by Vivi Anna and I must say that I was hooked!!! I love to read erotica and this book was all that and more. The plot and characters was a great change from the usual kissy romance stuff. I would def. recommend this book to all who like action, class and a naughty stuff along the way. It wasn't your typical romance book and that's what I loved about it, I didn't know what to expect. Go Vivi Anna!!!

How spicy do you like it?,
This review is from: Hell Kat (Paperback)
This book is ok -- not bad, not great. Vivi Anna has done a great job of creating the Hell Kat character -- a motorcycle riding treasure hunter who likes sex. What I particularly liked was that Kat's character evolved through the course of the book, mostly described through her relationships with Damien, her former slave, Hades, a peer, and Baruch, the evil dark lord. I'm not much into vampires, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the story. This book is not literature, but it is a fun and sexy read.

Hell Kat takes charge,

Fast-paced plot, wicked sex scenes, great characters.
If you don't like futuristic leather-clad biker babes and the hot men who love them, this maybe try one of the other Aphrodesias for your erotica. But, if you long for a female Mad Max, pick this one up!

Hell Kat is Smoken,

I loved this book! The world was cool--Mad Max with vampires! The sex was down and dirty, reminded me of Sasha White's edgy approach. to relationships. Hell Kat starts off with a f*%$ buddy, a truly good friend, and ends up with the love of her life. The ending of this story was perfectly set up for a Part II. Every sex scene was delicious.

Kell Kat has it ALL,
By Sasha White (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hell Kat (Paperback)
Honestly.I picked up HELL KAT because a friend of mine wrote it and I wanted to show some support. I'd read excerpts already, and I knew it would be pretty good, but really, I had NO IDEA how fantstic it was.
In my opinion, it's not really a romance, although there is definite romantic elements. It also has some very hot erotic scenes, yet I wouldn't really place it in the erotica genre. Personally, I'd place it in the Best Seller Genre. Full of adventure, mutli-dimensional characters, and emotional ups and downs, it hooked me from the first page and never let go. It was a race to get to the end, to see what would happen next ... but when I got to the final page it was so good I was sad to turn the final page. I did not want the ride to be over. The only thing that gave me comfort as I closed the book was the fact that I know there will be a sequel, and I'm counting the days until it hits the shelves. HELL KAT has is all, and promises so much more. Pick it up today, and don't open it until you have a whole day to yourself because you will not want to put it down.

Save Your Money!,

This review is from: Hell Kat (Paperback)
Don't buy this one, it's pretty bad. Luckily, I borrowed it because if I had actually spent the $13.00 that it cost, I would have returned it the same day and asked for my money back. I forced myself to read/skim about half of it, but it never improved. The setting of the book- a nuclear devasted future- was interesting, but that can't make up for a totally unlikeable and abrasive heroine who feels as cartoonish as the front cover. With the addition of secondary characters who were uninteresting, a plot that was slow and boring, and sex scenes that fell flat, you've got a book that was too painful to get through. I wanted to stop after 15 pages, I wish I had. |
