A very humanist approach to the S&L scandal. A great read, Day keeps the audience spellbound as she takes us from Ohio, Maryland all around the problem states. An informative yet intersting read. This could have been written in a dry and factual format, I'm glad it wasn't. I highly recommend this book on the S&L scandal if you want to learn more on the subject, or just a good book to read.

Take your time reading this book. I have to read if for a class in grad school. It is actually a very good and insightful book. I would highly recommend that you take your time to really understand all of the connections and situations explained throughout the book. It will be that much more rewarding in the end!

Set in different times to show a historical perspective of the banking industry and regulation but very applicable to today.
