This is a really good album, but slightly dissappointed me when I fist got it. Don't get me wrong, all the songs are great and Manowar put on a truly first class performance but I was dissappointed with the selection of songs on this album. I saw this album in the shop and bought it on impulse, cos I love manowar, but didn't look at the track listing. The reason for my dissapointment was that none of my favourite songs by manowar were on the album. I really love 'Metal Warriors', 'Kings of metal', 'Fighting the world' and 'Thor the powerhead' but these songs were nowhere to be seen. I do dig this album a lot and it has some really good stuff on it such as 'Metal Daze' which is a truly METAL song and Joey's classic Bass solos, but it could be better. In the last week I discovered Manowar's previous live album (released just before this one) which has all the 'missing' tracks that I mentioned before.

I think this album was released because that previous live album, the similarly titled 'Hell on wheels' was so good and some of manowars fans felt that some of THEIR favourite songs were missing.

To fully appreciate what manowar are capable of on stage I think you need both albums (Four hours in total, manowar play long sets on stage). I would say to anyone thinking of buying this 'Buy hell on wheels first, then if you like that, buy this'.

I would, assuming 'Hell on wheels' is as well performed which I think it will be, sum this album up as:

'A tasty collection of the leftovers from the true metal feast that is Hell on wheels'.

Any true fans of the loudest band on earth would be remiss to keep this CD set from their collection. A good mix of old favorites and the newer Manowar songs makes for a great album. The bonus CD recorded in Germany features a killer rendition of "Heart of Steel". So if your are brother or sister of true metal, check this one out.

Finally, the second live CD set from Manowar has been released in the US! These CDs truly capture the power and strength of a live Manowar show and are a must-buy for any fan of True Metal. The 3rd bonus CD (3 tracks recorded live in Germany) includes a German-language version of "Heart of Steel" that is worth the price of the CDs by itself. "Grandfather, Who were those four men?" "Who were they? Thery were the METAL KINGS!"

Ah,another live 2-CD release by yet another veteran metal band.'Hell On...' is a sixteen track assault that was recorded during their spring 1998 invasion tour of France,Spain,Germany,etc.I've heard that bands like Metallica and Pantera won't even consider touring w/Manowar,fearing that the TRUE metal ensemble just might upstage them.My choice cuts are "Metal Daze","Dark Avenger",the underground metal classic "Gates Of Valhalla(Cult Of The Damned)",the earth shaking "Blood Of The Kings","Heart Of Steel" and "The Power".Only downside is that "Blow Your Speakers" isn't on here.All original line-up except guitarist Karl Logan.State of the art metal cover.

THIS IS THE BEST LIVE CD FROM MANOWAR BY FAR, THE SELECTION OF SONGS IS EXCELLENT AND THE SOUND QUALITY IS VERY GOOD, ERIC'S VOCALS IS AS STRONG AS IT CAN GET AND THE MUSICIANSHIP IS EXCELLENT - HIGHLY ENJOYABLE AND AS IT STATES ON THE COVER PLAY THIS ONE F&*&&^% LOUD!!!

This live album was realy a great surprise. It is better than "Manowar live", wich has a poor recording quality, and bring us some classics in great performances. "The Power", recorded from the performance of Brazil, is perfect. They certainly are the "Kings of Metal".

This is an awesome live album! The only thing that could make it better would be if Manowar had maxed out the CD's and filled them up with a few more songs! Other than that, the Kings of Metal PROVE they're the true KINGS OF METAL!!!! Death to false metal, posers, and sell-outs!!!! May Manowar lay them all to DEATH!!!

Manowar is the best metal band in the Universe!! I have bought the album on April 15 and I can't stop listening it. There are many idiots that say Manowar is false and poser but even don't try to listen a Manowar cd!! Ask to Bruce Dickinson (or any other metal singer) to sing Gates of Valhala, Metal Daze, Battle Hymns or Dark Avenger (or any other song of the band!). That's impossible because only Manowar has this Power. Only Eric Adams can make those crazy (and on tone)screams!!! Hell on Stage is a GREAT album. Hell on Stage prooves that Manowar is bigger than any criticism. I know the other bands play (very well) but only Manowar Kiiiiiilllllsss!!!!! Congratulations Brothers of the World!! We received a Great Gift!!

What more can I say? These guys are the ultimate metal band. This album brings to life what going to see Manowar live is all about...well, that's not true. There is nothing that can compair with seeing them live, but this album comes close.

THE FIRST CD IS CONCERTS ALL OVER EUROPE. THE SECOND IS CONCERTS JUST IN THE BEST EUROPEAN COUNTRY, GERMANY. THE CD IS JUST LIKE BEING AT THE CONCERT, TRUST ME. I SAW THEM LIVE IN HANAU, GERMANY. THEY DID A GREAT JOB ON THIS CD, JUST LIKE THEY DID ON STAGE.
