This review is from: Hellbound Snowballs (Paperback)
It's a nice story filled with visions of my childhood. No, I didn't have a homicidal maniac for a best friend, but I did see 'Jaws' as a kid and couldn't go swimming in a lake for a very long time. Pools even freaked me out. Enough about me, let's talk about the book.
The book is a love story with a little violence and death thrown in. Oh, and manual labor. To me, key elements to a good novel. Wait, maybe it was a violent murder mystery with a love story thrown in. I get those two mixed up. At this point, I could discuss everything that happens in the book (unhappy transient, heads south, finds job in sleazy motel, manager is an a-hole, meets a hotty, hotty has brother, stuff happens, Jaws moment, more stuff happens, the end), but I don't want to spoil it. For 12 bucks, this book was a bargain. I've read a lot of books and nothing has come even close to what this book has taught me about life. You want to know what it's taught me? Buy the book. |
