ATTRACTIVE SHOE - Received the shoes today and the brown is just as pictured - chocolate brown. The heel is reflective smokey gray and the material reminds me of an old style toaster in appearance. The materials and workmanship appear to be quality. These are very attractive shoes!

SIZING - I just recently had my feet measured at Nordstrom and was told that my foot is right at a size 9. I usually purchase shoes in 9.5 or 10 depending on the shape of the toe box. I ordered a size 40 here and I think that it is not a size 10 as it indicates because the shoe is a bit small on me.

I searched the web and found a sizing chart that indicated a size 9.5 or 10 as a 41 NOT 40.

I now have these shoes in both sizes 40 and 41. My husband and I independently measured the shoes and we both found ONLY a 1/4" differance between the size 40 and size 41 (listed on the provided chart as sizes 10 and 11 respectively) with the 41 being 1/4" larger.

CONCLUSION - If my experience is any indication than I would suggest that a person purchase 1.5 to 2.0 sizes larger than the chart currently indicates. If you wear a size 9 in length than a size 41 (listed as size 11 on the chart provided) should work fine for you. If you wear a size 9.5 than a size 41 may work for you - that is questionable (your feet may go to the very edge of the shoe, or even beyond the shoe a bit)but, you could possibly get away with it. However, if you wear a size 10 or larger in length than I suspect that a size 41 will NOT work for you.

I suspect the shoes are comfortable, but, I don't know yet. I gave it a three star rating mostly because of the incorrect sizing resulting in additional work and expense to me. Otherwise, I would have rated it five stars as these shoes are very attractive.

These shoes are comfortable. I like the idea of being able to adjust the width since the band is connected with velcro. The heel is the perfect height of about two inches.
