INCORRECT SIZING - After originally purchasing the basilia shoes from Helle Comfort I learned that the sizing is NOT correct. In short, these shoes do not run true to size and I would order 1.5 - 2.0 sizes higher than your normal shoe size as listed on the chart provided (see my referenced review for further details).

ATTRACTIVE PRODUCT - I ordered both the turquoise and the bright red - (blue toned red as opposed to an orange red). Both colors are attractive. The heel has a mirror like look - smokey gray. Shoes appear to be made with quality materials and workmanship. The straps were easy to adjust and the shoes look good on.

COMFORT - I have only tested the shoes in my home for a short time, but, they appear to be secure on my feet and comfortable. They have a low heel, so, they are not as comfortable as flats; however, they are more comfortable than traditional dress shoes and coupled with the ability to adjust the width of the shoes makes these an excellent choice!

VALUE - The rain and cold temptures in Seattle I am wearing boots with my dresses/skirts whenever possible, but, I look forward to wearing these shoes a lot in spring and summer. On sale at less than $50.00 these shoes are a good deal.

Ordering up on sizing allowed for my correct sizing, so, I would give these shoes an excellent rating.

Helle Comfort is a wonderful, comfortable shoe and this one is no exception. It fits true to size, has an orthopaedic foot bed and does seem more comfortable without stockings. With stockings, I've had to use a ball of foot pad to prevent slipping. I love the look of the shoes. I'm definitely a Helle Comfort fan.
