There's no way anyone over at Amazon can justify the price for this stuff. It seems there's not enough competition in the mayo business these days and Hellmans/Amazon has taken full advantage of the deficit. While the mayo is great compared to just about all other brands, there is no justification for the price other than the shear lack of competition. Someone needs to start making real mayo like this. Its very basic in content and is good for that reason. The simple process for making it though also make the price unacceptable. Seems like all sorts of items being made today fall into the same snakepit of greedy business' I for one refuse to pay this kind of bucks for this kind of product. Walmart won't even carry it anymore because of its price. I recommend you get a good mayo recipe and make your own for a lot less money.

Why would anyone even consider buying this product at this price (plus shipping) when you can pick up two 32 oz jars of the same thing at the local grocery store for a total of about $9.00?
