My daughter received this as a gift. What a disappointment. You can only communicate if the other person is nearby AND in your line of sight. It does not work around corners or from room to room. What's the point of using a walkie talkie if you can only communicate if you're standing next to the person? On the positive side, it's not flimsy, but we haven't dropped one. Not likely to either, since this will be sitting at the bottom of the toybox after one use. Spend more for the Hello Kitty FRS Family Radio Service Communicators instead.

Why is it that when manufacturer's make a "girl specific" version of a typically more male marketed toy, they must skimp on quality? These are cute, I guess, but what's the point if they barely work. LOTS of static and the annoyance of having to wear wired ear pieces is just stupid. Don't even think about being in separate rooms which defeats the purpose of Walkie Talkies in the first place. Yeah, you can hear each other great because you have to sit right next to them! LAME.
