Great picture book for beginner readers!,
This review is from: Hello, Day! (Hardcover)
Anita Lobel's new book "Hello, Day!" is gorgeously illustrated in a rich palette of colors and enhanced with a simple text that is in a large font - perfect for beginner readers. The story itself is of various animals and the sounds they make, e.g. "The rooster said, Cock-a-doodle-doo!", "The cow said, Moo" and so on. It makes for easy reading and a little child would be able to 'read' as they associate a particular animal with the sound it makes. Highly recommended for preschoolers!

Right now, this is my 13 month-old son's favorite book. He loves to look at the pictures of the animals, and he giggles when we say the animal sounds. The illustrations are very colorful.

I'm a Head Start teacher, my children loved this book. I have read it many times already. The children like to make the sounds of the animals. Wonderful book for ages 1 to 5 yrs.
