5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect ending to a perfect group.
I've been a fan of Jump5 since 2003. I've loved them through the bubblegum years, and the rock-pop years. They are simply awesome. They can pull off pretty much any song with good strong vocals and excellent harmony.

Hello & Goodbye is bittersweet. While I absolutly love the album, it's a constant reminder that they aren't going to be here anymore. But, oh...

3.0 out of 5 stars Jump5 say hello one last time before they say goodbye to nine years together
What drew me to Hello and Goodbye was Jump5's rendition of The Beatles' classic "Hello Goodbye." It's a fitting choice for a farewell recording from a group that has sold more than 1.4 million units, which includes four studio albums and two gold videos.

Fortunately their breakup won't be providing fodder for the tabloid and rumor mills. Having been together...

Hello & Goodbye is bittersweet. While I absolutly love the album, it's a constant reminder that they aren't going to be here anymore. But, oh well. Life goes on.

I strongly recommend this cd for any J5 fan and for any fan of addictive rock-pop songs. You won't be disapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars This CD will make you wish they weren't saying goodbye! :(, October 9, 2007
This review is from: Hello & Goodbye (Audio CD)
I've been waiting for a long time for them to make a new record. But then I found out they were disbanding. I love this CD, but it's only 10 songs, 8 if you don't count the remixes. The total time on the CD is 31 minutes! That's too short! Come on, it's the last record! My only other complaint is it doesn't have "Both to Blame" on the CD. That is my favorite Jump5 song and now it will probably won't ever be put on an album. Now to the good stuff. It starts out with the leading single, "Shoot the Moon". This is defiantly on of my favorite tracks on the album. It's upbeat, positive and happy. Then there is "Fly", the second single. It's nice too, but at only two and a half minutes, it's too short. "Never Enough" is another one of my favorites. It's a slower song, but is very good. "Hello Goodbye" is one of the few Beatles covers that work. They brought back the fifth original member Libby for this song. I missed her, she used to be my favorite Jump5 member. "I Surrender All", BEAUTIFUL! Brittany's vocals give me goosebumps on this song. The best on the CD! No doubt! "Still Got Me" has a great opening beat. It's a song about them disbanding sort of. "Throw Your Hands Up '07" is a more mature acoustic version of their hit from their sophomore album "All the Time in the World". "Fly (Remix)" is a pretty cool remix, a longer version, which is a VERY good thing. "You" is good too, but not very memorable. "The Star Spangled Banner", a good end, very pretty, but I don't find myself listening to it much. Overall, it's a really good album, the highlights are Shoot the Moon, Fly, Never Enough, Hello Goodbye, I Surrender All, Still Got Me, and Throw Your Hands Up '07.

Having been together for nine years, the members of the group just felt that it was time to move on. This release and a farewell tour will close this chapter of their lives so that they can go their own ways.

It all makes the inclusion of "Hello Goodbye" so appropriate. Previous group member Libby Hodges joined in on the song to help Jump5 say hello one last time before saying goodbye. It's difficult to improve on a classic, but this is a likeable and admirable version that has the pop edginess that is typical of the group.

This is followed by a beautiful piano-driven "I Surrender All." This song, which is the most moving, is also fitting. As they go forward, it's a way for each member to acknowledge their surrender to the One that has brought them this far. The future is in His hands.

It's a bittersweet recording with other scattered references that reflect on their journey. It has all the energy and playfulness of their past efforts, but it's a little sad knowing that this is their last.

It's somewhat disappointing that this goodbye is so short with only 10 tracks, including two versions of the song "Fly" and an update of a previous song, "Throw Your Hands Up '07."

Despite the brevity of the release, one of the pleasant surprises is an a capella version of the "Star-Spangled Banner," which closes the CD. Fans also have had something to cheer about with the lead single "Shoot the Moon,"--written by the same team that wrote the number one single "I Got Nerve" by Miley Cyrus--playing on Radio Disney.

In the end they are leaving in the same way that they came, with trendy teen pop filled with hopeful, encouraging and God-honoring messages. Say Goodbye to Jump5. May each of them be able to say hello to the new things that God will do in their lives.

I knew when i saw the title for this cd that this was Jump5's last cd together and while it is a sad event. Its also one that ends on a very good note with a whole set of songs for us to remember them by and hopefully see them perform sometime in the future should they decide to come back together. Its a great purchase and see the groups taking on more responsibilities being Executive Producers of this cd is a huge step and its done very well. Any new or long time J5 fan will get into this cd and love it from the beginning til the end.

Best of luck!!
