I received my mold yesterday and when I opened the bag, one of the hinges had already broken off.

Not the licensed product, comes in a fishy looking box that is for an LED light with a superimposed picture of this fake reproduction mold that claims to be the licensed product but is missing all of the markings of a licensed product and missing the licensed product packaging, does not have the correct markings of the nose and does not mold the egg properly so what you get is an oddly disfigured egg with no visible whiskers, eyes or nose. Add to that that it was listed as 6.99 and I was actually charged double to my card, and the seller has not responded to my return request. I have filed an A-Z claim and am awaiting response so I can find and purchase the correct mold and G-dwilling still recieve it in time to use for the snacks at my daughters birthday party. Very upset mama. Do not buy this product.

This is a cute and easy egg mold. If you have never used an egg mold before make sure you put the egg in the mold while it is still hot. For best results use the largest eggs you can find for this particular mold. Larger eggs will help fill out the ear section better. For added cuteness I dyed my egg pink as well.

I thought this was very cute when it arrived but when I washed it for the first time, the plastic hinge broke. I haven't even used it yet so I'm a bit disappointed. I guess I can always use a rubber band when the other hinges break.

I just love making cute lunches. So, when I stumbled across this very cute Hello Kitty egg mold, I just had to have it! I have used egg molds before so I'm and old hand at it. But if you haven't ever used an egg mold before here are some helpful tips!
-Be sure that you get the largest eggs that you can find.
-Boil them to your standards (some people like their eggs to be a little soft in the middle).
-Place the freshly boiled egg in the mold when they are still very hot. (I peel them under cold water so I can handle the freshly boiled eggs) The egg will only maintain the Hello Kitty shape if it is hot when it is placed in the mold.
-Once you snap the egg mold closed, you place it in a bowl of ice water until the mold is nice and cold.
-Then you open the egg mold and pop out the egg.
Now you have a very nicely shaped Hello Kitty egg for your enjoyment! Just remember, keep the eggs cold otherwise they will lose their shape. I have six or seven different egg molds so I like to cook up about half a dozen eggs at a time. I just place them in a Tupperware container in the frig and they will last for three or four days and maintain their shape! If you really like to get creative, you can dye your eggs. The possibilities are limitless if you have a creative streak!
Over all, I am very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend this egg mold for any Hello Kitty fan!

I was disappointed how it didn't come in the Japanese labeled big thingy :( it was only wrapped in a bag. I'm disappointed, still it's really cute!!! ^___^ no regrets here!

I bought the identical item, not a fake, on ebay for $4.99 last month. Free shipping. Same packaging. Sanrio-licensed Hello Kitty bento gadgets can be cheaper on ebay if you don't mind waiting for them to arrive.

On the discription of this item it says "made of durable plastic." Don't buy it. I received my mold yesterday and when I opened the bag, one of the hinges had already broken off. I am trying to surprise my daughter for a special hello kitty breakfast on her first day of school tomorrow, I am not sure how I am going to mold the egg if not all sides are closed tightly...very upset.

I ordered this to cajole my toddler to eat more protein. It definitely delighted her. You won't receive instructions on how to use this, but there are lots of demos on the internet. I gave the egg mold three stars because one of the clips broke after the second use. Now I just use a rubber band to hold it together when I need my kid to eat something healthy.
