Friggin' Amazing!,

This review is from: Hello Sailor (Audio CD)
The Blackout Pact are amazing, I just want to start out by saying that! They are one of the best bands I have heard or seen in a very long time. I saw them a while back with Rise Against and The Bouncing Souls and The Blackout Pact stole the show, well at least for me they did. Not only is the band absolutley amazing live but when I talked to them after their show they were really cool. Their music is full of energu and power. Great punk/rock songs highlighted by great musician ship. If The blackout Pact ever breaks through the mainstream they will take over much like Rise Against did but bigger and better.
The album starts off with the bands single 'We Drink So You Dont Have To' which is a really cool song with a great chorus. This song is the perfect way to start the album because it shows you what kind of a ride you are going to be on for the reat of the album. The whole album is really up beat and fhull of energy. This is everything real punk music should be. Throughout the album a few songs stand out more then others, 'Hide The Sccissors, Lock The Door' and 'Lapis Lazuli' are killer punk songs. The closer 'Lapis Lazuli' is the perfect way to close the album. As I said The Blackout Pact is an amazing band and Hello Sailor is a killer album that all punk fans should check out, I think regular rock fans would enjoy this as well. Also if you a fan of guitar then Joe is an amazing player and I think you would enjoy this as well, highly recomended!

I saw these guys a year ago and heard they were broken up so I had to get this cd because to this day that is still one of my most favorite concerts. However the cd itself lacks some of the power of the live show, but the songs are still incredibly wicked.

This is an amazing cd all in all. ALl the songs are good, the musicianship is good/ The album ends with an amazing sort of ballad but then the song ends the album with an amazing sing along chorus. Fans of modern punk and post hardcore should pick this up for sure. These guys put on an amazing show as well

not much you can really get into with this band. the singer reminds me of the guy from hot water music. and the band writes catchy material. good stuff.

Best CD buy it now no joke i've been listening to punk for over 10 years and this by far kills all other CD's, plus the guitar player "joe" is an amazing musician with fluid beats.
