Cutest Little Book
Bought this board book for my niece who is 18 months and loves Hello "Chitty". It is now one of her favorite books. She's always looking at it, pointing out and naming the items on the brightly colored pages. She is beginning to recognize and call out shapes, so having Hello Kitty in on the fun is all the better.

Disappointed
I got this book for my daughter who LOVES Hello Kitty and was a fan of Hello Color. In Hello Color each page says "Hello Blue" or whatever color and has many different things of that color in a non-overstimulating way. This book had me thinking that it would be the same just with shapes, but its really not. It has one object/action that shape that doesn't really make...

I got this book for my daughter who LOVES Hello Kitty and was a fan of Hello Color. This book had me thinking that it would be the same just with shapes, but its really not. It has one object/action that shape that doesn't really make sense. For example: Hello Oval was just HK skating on ice making ovals. That doesn't teach my daughter what things in her world/environment are ovals or how to generalize. Granted we do that in real life but it is fun to point out the shapes found in different objects she says everyday and building vocabulary...Bummer!
