5.0 out of 5 stars Funny Yet Touching, May 13, 2010

This review is from: Hello, Wrong Number (Paperback)
I first got this book from the local library. It's not very long, and I was looking for a quick read. It begins with a girl named Angie calling a guy named Jim that she's met earlier at a party, but she dials the wrong number. (Yes, this is before caller I.D. so if you like 80s literature, this is for you.) Ironically, the wrong number belongs to another guy named Jim. Eventually they start calling each other regularly but don't meet face to face. Compared to today, it might be like meeting someone in a chat room and learning about the inner personality before actually meeting face to face. Angie works through some of her shallowness of character and learns about what it means to like someone on the inside as opposed to just outer appearance.

The narrative is written in the style of phone calls, so mostly just dialogue, but I find that it reads very quickly because of that. If you're a fan of the 80s or just want to reminisce, this is definitely for you.

I really liked this book because the title made me want to read it. The title sounded scary and I just love scary things. This book dealt with a girl and someone calling and then hanging up.
