4.0 out of 5 stars not enough bang in a book about a subject that is pure fire
although this book features great and at times candid photography it is handicapped by attempting to deal with a worldwide phenomenon (the hells angels mc) through the eyes of only its UK members...the angels though now global are a pure american institution...they could not have been founded anywhere else in the world with the same results...so it is unfortunant that...

3.0 out of 5 stars My review of Mr. Shaylor photo book
I agree whole heartedly with the one gentleman who was dissapointed that the picture book had no representation of the U.S. Hells Angels - particularly the famous, celebrated and of course notorious California Hells Angels where it all began. I eagerly awaited the arrival of this book and couldn't wait to open it up and go through the pics. As I flipped (and flipped and...

3.0 out of 5 stars My review of Mr. Shaylor photo book, July 26, 2007

As I flipped (and flipped and flipped) my dissapointment mounted as I became aware there would be no pics, stories etc. of all the famous/notorious Angels I had read about in other outlaw mc books. In that regard this book was a huge dissapointment to me. Who cares about European/foreign Hells Angels? I want the real thing! The pictures are good and impressive I will say but I felt no bond to European i.e. "foreign" Angels - they're just different over there. For example, in some of the photos you see these "foreign" Angels wearing huge bulbous helmets and, of all things, TENNIS SHOES while riding their bikes! Please! I was dissapointed in the book to say the least. Thank you.

I was disappointed in this book, for the price I was expecting much more. The photos are well done, I only hope that a similar book will follow to cover the United States, that would be truly of interest.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing to with sonny barger besides the intro, February 9, 2009
This review is from: Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (Paperback)
Great book for what it is, but i was a bit decieved as Sonny Barger has nothing to do with this book except intro and 1 picture. Still Glad i got it, I recomend this book to anybody who wants to get an inside glimps at the UK Hells Angels and their bikes.

1.0 out of 5 stars This must be a joke, September 9, 2007
This review is from: Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (Paperback)
How could anyone even consider publishing a photo journal of the HAMC without including it's american roots ? Perhaps the authors next endeavor will be a photo history of rock n roll with pictures of only the back street boys. This book is a disgrace.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pics of guys....ok., November 22, 2008
This book is simply a compilation of portaits, most taken in a studio of Hell's Angels from europe. It looks more like a reference of who's who for law enforcement. I was hoping for more action shots, more candid stuff of the Hell's Angels riding and hanging out. I don't really care for a head shot book...just boring. Don't waste your money unless you're buying my copy.....

2.0 out of 5 stars Before you buy, Be Aware!, June 20, 2008
This review is from: Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (Paperback)
This book is not what you think! Great photo's, great stories, but come on, not a SINGLE photo or info on the original and FAR better known US based Hells Angels. The entire book cover to cover is ONLY UK BASED ANGELS!. No disrespect to them and if you are from the UK, the book is great. But to those in the US who want to see pictures of the legends and hear about the dozens of stories of the original Angels, this book is a major letdown. NOTHING on the cover of the book nor in the book description mention the fact the book is 100% UK based Hells Angels. That, in my opinion was done on purpose because they know the book will not sell anywhere near as well. I assure you, when the vast majority of people WORLDWIDE hear the name "Hells Angels", they are thinking of the original California and the Legendary New York City chapters and the dozens of stories that go with them, NOT London, Wolverhampton, etc (Again, no disrespect). Great photo's, great text, but overall dissapointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bike photos, April 24, 2008
This review is from: Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (Paperback)
If you want to look at pictures of bikers, and their families, many just like olan mills portrait style, then buy this book. Not much narrative. Forward by Sonny.

3.0 out of 5 stars Coffee-Table picture book of Canadian Angels, November 23, 2008
This review is from: Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (Paperback)
Hells Angels Motorcycle ClubSimply put this is a picture book of Canada's Hells Angels with a brief history of the clubs expansion there. The photos are excellent and offer a study of the complex 'face' of the brotherhood that is the fabric of the Club. The motorcycles and the 'ole-ladies' featured are secondary to the 'artsy' mug-shots of the members. A good book to have around illustrating the 'outlaws' of today; especially for the priest or the mother-in-law to peruse as they wait in the parlor or the 'head'.
