Book Description

Monika Hell seemed to have it all. She was gorgeous, owned a nice condo, an expensive car, an endless wardrobe, and had a great job as a store manager in the mall. But, she was mean, miserable, and worst of all, hated Christmas.

Kidnapped from the mall parking lot on Christmas Eve, her life is turned upside down. Now, on Christmas morning, she finds herself in a freezing alley with nothing but the tattered clothes on her back. With no identification, no money, and no one willing to help, Monika is forced to start all over. Could losing everything she'd worked for all her life lead her to find what's been missing all along?

Editorial Reviews

From the Author

I had such a wonderful experience writing this story.  I began it in 2006 and have added to it every holiday season.  I'm so pleased with where the characters took me.  I have grown as a person from this experience.  This story is meant for much more than entertainment.  It is my hope that you as the reader will forever be changed and that your heart will be touched.  I wish laughter, tears, and smiles for you as you enter the lives of Monika, Mary, Barney, and others.  Blessings, Cynthia P. Willow

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful story! November 26, 2012
By Tori A.
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I absolutely LOVED this book! It's a MUST read! And it would be perfect for a Christmas gift. It's a story that will make you believe in miracles again. I bought it on kindle but loved it so much that I'm buying the paperback for myself and purchasing some for friends and family that I think will love it. I will say this though, make sure you sit down with a cup of cocoa or coffee and have plenty of time to read. Because I can assure you, it's one that you won't be able to put down. When first reading the description of the book I was thinking, it's just going to be another Scrooge or Grinch rip off story. But it's definitely NOT! Do yourself a favor and get this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Christmas in July!! July 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Wow....what a wonderful Christmas in July gift!! This is exactly the sentiment I feel after reading "Hell's Christmas" by talented Author Cynthia P. Willow. It clearly is the gift that keeps on giving all year long.

Mary is one of the likeable main characters who works in Clarkson's Department Store in Cincinnati along with Monika Hell her supervisor, and co-worker, Cortney. The story starts off during the busy Christmas Season with the usual hustle and bustle taking place during that time of the year. Monika Hell is a present day Scrooge/Grinch as she is mean spirited on the best of days but she is especially grumpy on Christmas Eve. When having a smoke break she cannot tolerate the ringing of the Salvation Army bell at the front of the store. She is seldom, if ever, in a happy mood and this bad attitude is even more evident at Christmas time. Monika Hell is definitely beautiful...she is only twenty-seven years old...she is very successful but...she has one 'hell' of an attitude which is about to be mysteriously cleared up!

Mary is the narrator of this delightful, romantic, and captivating novel. She relates not only the activities taking place in her own life but those in Monica's and Cortney's too, as well as several other endearing characters in this book. When Monica inexplicably ends up in an alley in Seattle, there is much to figure out. She is stumped as to how she got there and cannot convince anyone that her story is indeed true. In her efforts to get to the bottom of her situation, Officer Justin Peterson manages to become part of her life, and of course, he has a personal story too.

There are so many unpredictable and endearing twists and turns in this romance novel.

I absolutely loved this book! Just goes to show you, no one is totally lost with G-D'S everlasting, faithful love.
The characters were great, the plot captivating, and the storyline was so realistic, you have the emotions the characters were feeling. I recommend this book to everyone who has ever felt above others, or not good enough. Trust in G-D'S ways and you know you'll be ok.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome story! December 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I really loved this. It was a beautiful story of love and redemption which is perfect not just for Christmas but for anytime. It will leave you with the thought that even the most hard-boiled and crusty individual you meet on the street can be touched by God and made into a softer and kinder person. I think anyone who reads this story can't help but see others in a more compassionate light than before, and for that the author deserves a true salute.

I would recommend this story to anyone who's looking for an inspirational and heartwarming tale. You'll be glad you tried it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read March 13, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
A sweet romance inside an interesting tale about a woman that is just not happy. If you like it's a Wonderful life I think you will love this story. If you're not crazy about first person don't let the first few chapters throw you. Most of the book is written in third person and the story will keep you turning the pages.

This is a good clean read and I suggest you try it out. It's also available in audiobook in audible.

Monika's is.... and she is that on wheels to begin with. I have to admit, this book wouldn't have appealed to me simply because of the name, but I am so glad I gave it a chance. Read more
