5.0 out of 5 stars A very funny . . .
. . . third entry into the popular "Help! Mom!" series takes a look at the "War on Christmas".

Funnier than the second entry, this "Help! Mom!" book recounts the tale of how the "Liberaland 9th Circuit Court" attacks Christmas (and, for that matter, Judaism as well) without due regard for that precious piece of paper, the United States Constitution...

1.0 out of 5 stars You must be kidding
This book is either brilliant satire, or a nonsensical hateful attack using Christmas as a charade to take shots at "liberals". I could barely believe my eyes reading this book. Since I doubt it is a sublime satire I can only concluded that the deeply mislead authors are serious. Avoid at all costs.

This review is from: Help! Mom! The 9th Circuit Nabbed the Nativity (Help! Mom!) (Hardcover)
. . . third entry into the popular "Help! Mom!" series takes a look at the "War on Christmas".

Funnier than the second entry, this "Help! Mom!" book recounts the tale of how the "Liberaland 9th Circuit Court" attacks Christmas (and, for that matter, Judaism as well) without due regard for that precious piece of paper, the United States Constitution.

Unlike the previous two "Help! Mom!" books which take satire into the realm of parody, many elements of "The 9th Circuit Court" recount actions and episodes which have actually occurred in schools and courts throughout this country. The fundamental underlying principle which the Secular Progressives seem to miss is that the Constitution provides for "Freedom OF Religion" NOT "Freedom FROM Religion". That distinction is made very clear in this book.

As an aside, the tone of many of the reviews for both this book and its two predecessors (to say nothing of the tenor of many of the follow-up comments) makes me want to suggest a follow-up title, to wit: "Help! Mom! The Secular Progressives Have No Sense Of Humor!"

Very highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny, with brilliant illustrations, December 13, 2006

I thought "Liberals Under My Bed" was a riot, and I enjoyed "9th Circuit" too. The fact that liberals (some of them posting here) are up in arms about this book shows how on-target it is. The book makes fun of Hillary Clinton, Jon Carry and Al Gore in ways that show exactly how superficial and self-serving their "beliefs" are. Anyone who likes to laugh at politicians - and who can laugh at themselves - will enjoy this book. There's a funny video on YouTube called "The First Toenail" that's from this book that is highly recommended too.

This book provides one tiny opportunity to try and balance the overwhelming blitz of liberal media distortions and control of the developing minds of little kids. I'm writing this one day after the Sunday Funnies in the Washington Post published 2 blatantly anti-religion strips, 1 hostile pro-immigration strip, and an anti-heartland (red State) strip in addition to the usual assortment of anti-Bush strips (Doonesbury, Boondocks, etc). Kids need to read books like this and its 2 predecessors in order to learn how biased the media and education system has become.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent book about the intolerant left, February 10, 2007
This review is from: Help! Mom! The 9th Circuit Nabbed the Nativity (Help! Mom!) (Hardcover)
Is funny how the left try their best to discredit this book. Every time I see their hateful comments, is a sign to me that I must buy it for me and my friends.

After reading it, I couldn't be happier about the author genius to explain how the left wants to eradicate everything about the Christian religion

When I hear about children being sent home from school for wearing a shirt that says "Merry Christmas" there is something wrong. This book sums up the problem. Is it hate to not agree with the people who want to be intolerant to a social custom? no. Merry Christmas, Buy this Book.

This review is from: Help! Mom! The 9th Circuit Nabbed the Nativity (Help! Mom!) (Hardcover)
This is satire at it's finest. By pretending to make fun of liberals, these books are showing the extremist and stubborn tendencies of conservatives. I don't think they're actually meant for children, but for the liberal adult these are a great laugh.

The author uses wit and humor to remind us of the erosion of traditional values in our country. I have purchased DeBrecht's other titles and have enjoyed them immensley!
