Book Description

At last a book that answers the proverbial question, “Where is my other sock?” Cheryl Moeller, emerges from her laundry room at last to tell her story – such as the time Metamucil tablets left in a pants pocket became the size of basketballs after 30 minutes in the washing machine. Her over-the-laundry pile humor will help you laugh your way through motherhood -- 31 days in a row. She’ll also give you Ten Ways to know it’s going to be a Long Labor and Delivery, Ten Things you Can Learn from your Cat, and Ten Reasons Why a Mom should be President. So when your laundry gets taller than you are, turn over a basket, sit down and read a page of, “Help, Mom’s Stuck on Spin Cycle.” Warning: You may emerge from the laundry room with permanent press wrinkles -- from laughing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Boring book June 10, 2012
By jdictos
Format:Kindle Edition
I love reading mommy books, but this one wasn't worth the purchase. Instead of personal life stories it's just page after page of top 10 lists. Not even very funny lists.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed April 13, 2012
By Lisa M.
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I bought this book in the hopes it would give me something to laugh about as I recovered from surgery. My recovery was less painful than reading this book. It was not humorous in the least and I am so disappointed. As a mom I've been in some of the situations but the author's take on the situations wasn't even remotely funny - just boring and slightly stupid.

I expected it to be more story like and less of a laundry list so that is partly the problem for me. The format follows a daily Top Ten list. For instance Day 14 talks about the top 10 ways a mom can fight the high price of gasoline. #4 is "Cut holes in the floorboard of your car, and use the Flintstone's method of accelertion using both feet" Really?? At age 6 Wilma and Fred made me laugh but in my mid 40's I don't think so.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bought for my wife. Hated it. July 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is just a collection of lists. There is nothing overly funny or interesting. My wife read this book in about 20 minutes and I think she cracked a smile once. Overall, she was bored by it and thought it a total waste of time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Just don't buy September 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I tried and tried and tried to like this book but I just could not get into it. I wish I had read ALL the reviews before buying it. This book is not funny it is torture to read. Sorry to the author but this book is just bad. My Kindle Fire tells me I got to the 19% mark and I can go no further. I had to remove it from my Kindle.

1.0 out of 5 stars So, so, so terrible. July 31, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm convinced that every positive review is from someone in the author's family, or there are people out there who just really hate genuinely humorous and well-written books. Perhaps her mother and husband each made multiple accounts to bump up the star rating and make her stop mumbling "But I am funny, I am funny, people enjoy my writing" while slamming face into the oven door repeatedly. This is a collection of thoughts that are either painfully mundane or trying way, way too hard to be funny, in an "OMG guys, I'm SO RANDOM AND SILLY!" kind of way.

There's a section called "Ten Ways Mom Can Be Sure She's Swedish". Number 5 is "You immediately administer coffee and pastry to a man choking in a restaurant". What does this have to do with being a mother? Is this some well-known Swedish stereotype that I was unaware of? Do all Swedes prefer to finish off their choking men by stuffing their air holes full of sugary goodness? Is it considered the most honorable way to die over there?

I just...I just don't know anymore.

Don't read this, people. Don't encourage her.

2.0 out of 5 stars Amusing June 25, 2012
By Jill
Format:Kindle Edition
If you are into lists like top 10 kind of things then you might like this. If you are looking for chapters with paragraphs then this isn't. Read the books description. It describes it well. I found it mildly amusing but I was looking more for actual "reading material" not lists. Like I said...read the books description it does it justice and so far in my reading hits the funniest parts but i got bored and quit reading after about 7 days worth.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing February 24, 2012

I was really hoping that this would be hilarious, as many of the reviews said, but I found it to be more stupid than funny. I don't think it made me laugh once. Don't waste your time with this.

1.0 out of 5 stars not even funny October 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This should not even be considered a book. It is basically a list of one line jokes that fail to be funny.

The list format didn't bother me because if done well they can be hilarious. This is not. Most of the jokes (I hesitate to even call them that for fear of a libel suit) fall flat. Read more

This book has its moments. Most I as a mother can relate to. Some are ridiculous but none the less still made me smile.
