A must for beginner motorcyclists, April 29, 2005
This review is from: Help! They're All Out to Get Me!: The Motorcyclist's Guide to Surviving the Everyday World (Paperback)
I've been riding 35 years and of course have my own opinions, history and observations, but overall I really like this book.
It is a book I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to buy a bike for the first time. There are so many things to think about when riding and Ralph's book does a great job of laying them out and making one think about them. Anyone wanting to learn should read this book first and then take the MSF motorcycle course. It would definitely help them get riding safely, much faster than those who don't. In fact, it's probably a good read for any level of rider after you've had the bike in the garage for the last 5 months of winter and need a reminder of all the things to think about when riding on crowded public roads.
An excellent defensive driving guide, highly recommended.
