Book Description

April 7, 2006
The main subjects of this book are the children of divorce. There are no hard and fast solutions to the challenges you will encounter on your divorce journey. There is no "how to" book that will tell you what you should or should not do to make your divorce a success. What you do will depend on your own set of circumstances and the personalities of those people involved.

In this book, however, you will find tools and techniques that can assist you in dealing with your divorce. Other people in their own processes of divorce have used these suggestions, tools, and techniques. Some suggestions have been used as is, and others have been modified. Some people have received insight, while some have developed thoughts and solutions of their own. Whatever way you use this book and its suggestions can only be decided by you. I feel that in the process of divorce, anything that can make it easier on you and your family is worth a try.

Know that you are not alone-many have been where you are at this moment.

Good luck to you and your family.

About the Author

Dragica is a Certified Alternative Behavioral Therapist. She has a practice in Northern California, where she specializes in Behavioral Modification and Life Coaching.

She has spent her entire life using her talent in human relationships to help improve the lives of others. Somewhere along the way, after her divorce, she realized there was no "how to" book on divorce. Specifically, her main concern has always been the children of divorce. She started talking to and interviewing other parents who had gone through or were going through divorce. What emerged was a picture of families who were successes and those who were not. Since she needed to find answers for herself, she started inventing and using the tools and techniques that are in this book.

Today, her life has evolved from young mother to "Grammie." Her daughter is grown and has four daughters of her own.

In her professional life, she is an educator, speaker, and wellness practitioner. She has learned and teaches that we are all here, going through life together, and any help we can give to one another only enriches our own lives.

2.0 out of 5 stars Only helpful for a particular child's age group, November 5, 2006
This review is from: How to Help Your Child Through Divorce (Paperback)
This book would possibly be helpful if your children are between the ages of 8-12. My child is much smaller, therefore, I did not find the information helpful.
