This book focuses on certain areas of potential stress for children such as hospitalization, illness, death, separation experiences, moving, adoption, birth of a baby in the family, and other situations that may strain a childs coping skills.

Joan Fassler, Ph. D. was a graduate of City College of New York. She received her Ph. D. is psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She authored a series of childrens books on psychological themes and was also a member of the faculty of the Yale Child Study Center.
