Helping People Through Grief is a sensitive, thought provoking book that is a must for any caregiver. Delores not only addresses the nuances of different grieving situations, she also provides resources for both the person who is grieving and the caregiver. The book also lists support groups, both national and local, and other written resources. A must read whether you are grieving or a caregiver.

I am so glad I was required to buy this book for a Pastoral Care class. I had little background prior to this in counseling situations and it was a great book for a wide range of basic issues pastors find themselves wrapped up in. Very good practical suggestions about what to do, not do, and the like. I highly recommend it.

Very helpful with ideas how to comfort and offer help to those who are suffering from a loved ones death, a divorce, violence, or other losses.
