5.0 out of 5 stars A very helpful book for a most difficult time in ones life.
Most helpful in giving insight to how feelings may run during the healing process. Good tips on things not to say. Excellent explanation of different types of cancers. Explains very well some of the decisions that will need to be made by the cancer patient.

1.0 out of 5 stars forget this one
As a woman with breast cancer, I have spent considerable time researching and reading all the books I can find on the topic. I found this one to be poorly written (sooooo boring....when it doesn't need to be; it reads like a bad textbook) and a poor source of information. There is a need for a good book on this topic. The other one I found, Man to Man, is equally bad...

5.0 out of 5 stars Insightful, August 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this book for my husband on the recommendation of my cancer surgeon. My husband chose to wait and read this while I was in surgery having my double mastectomy and reconstruction back in Feb 2011. I think this book is terrific as it helps a spouse understand the whole process and how to best lend support. Now that I'm almost at the end of the process I can say this book was a terrific help as my husband was very supportive . I'd highly suggest it to others.
