4.0 out of 5 stars HELP! is Available for Parents of Teens, September 22, 2007
This review is from: Helping Your Struggling Teenager (Paperback)
As a Christian Counselor "Helping Your Struggling Teenager" is part of my list of resources that I highly recommend for parents, youth pastors and others who work with teens. This parenting handbook on thirty-six common problems faced by our youth is outlined to include the following categories for each topic: What the struggle looks like, why the struggle happens, how parents can help, how professionals can help, where to go for additonal help, case studies, inventories and checklist. This easy to use reference lists issues from A to V (including anger, homosexuality, obesity, schizophrenia, suicide, violence and much more). This text is also culturally relevant for Counseling in African American Communities.

I am a Christian Counselor and have often referred parents to particular sections of this book. My son's Youth Minister first introduced me to this book when my son was struggling with an issue addressed within and I immediately went out and bought my own copy. There is not a rock left unturned when they look at things today's parents face.
