I have read over 50 numerology books she is the best so far.,

I am a numerologist here in Johannesburg, South Africa and after reading many other books found her book superb. She gets her message across in a friendly and exact manner without harping on the negative and affords you the opportunity to focus on the positive.

Partly because she agrees with some of my learning from earlier years, I found this to be an excellent book. So will you, if you can get one. Her instructions are in depth, unequivocal, and clear. She is one of the few I have read who have a real understanding of the power of 11, 22 and 33. Put this on order

Yes. This book is a classic. I can easily see why later authors referred to this work in their bibliographies (Glynis McCants, Hans Decoz, for example). But I have to give this book three stars. I took off one star for this book contains many (some unforgiveable) typos and misspellings and, in one or two cases, faulty math (i.e., in her magi section, the author cited August as the 6th month of the year--when it's really the 8th month--then based her interpretation on that error).
I took off another star because the predictive sections of the book, as fascinating as they are, were not adequately developed. In the kabala/abracadabra chapter in particular, the abracadabra wasn't even printed in the book so the interpretation of it had no model to compare from, which makes for some very confusing reading (i.e., where's the 8 in 1844, in respect to the second A in Alexander...?). And the directions in the magi chapter, mentioned earlier, never ceases to lose me. I would hope somebody (is Ms Hitchcock still alive?) would correct these errors before the next printing. This book could really be a very helpful source to beginners and novices--right up there with YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED by Florence Campbell. As a basic primer, I find Hitchcock's book, for the most part, readible and accessible. But, if she's piqued your interest in numerology's predictive side, Decoz's book is a lot less confusing and a little more accurate, in my humble opinion. My two cents.

This is the best book written to help you get started with numerology. Helyn's method is simple and to the point. It's a fascinating study.

Gloomy,
This review is from: Helping Yourself with Numerology (Paperback)
After reading this book by Helyn Hitchcock, I found it extremely depressing. For me personally, she makes too many references to "death." After attempting to correlate her information to some of my family members, I had nightmares thinking death was around the corner for each of them. There are some interesting points but, I have since found other authors that have been helpful in my quest to learn numerology. I suggest you read various authors and find the commonality in all for a good place to start.

Overall, the book is comprehensive and accessible to all readers. What I don't like is that Hitchcock is irresponsible enough with this occult crud to enable one to predict the time of his or her own death. That's all I have to say. I would offer this one instead: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Numerology, 2nd Edition. Don't be fooled by the title; it's excellent - and responsible.
