This is good quality incense, and it burns for a good amount of time and has a strong, lasting aroma. The scent is not typical for patchouli, however, and, while pleasant, is also a bit "perfumey". This is not a scent I would recommend for male users (I am trying not to stereotype, here, but the scent does have many traits of women's cologne!) Out of the box, the sticks have a reasonable patchouli scent. Once lit, they are long burning and give off a pleasant - what I call typically Indian (country of origin) fragrance - but not what I think of when I think of patchouli. Other products have a truer patchouli fragrance.
