Currently there is no practical up-to-date book to help the clinician with these patients. The handbook was written to offer a practical guide to recognizing, diagnosing, and managing theses patients. One of the most remarkable areas of medicine in the last ten to fifteen years is the revolution in thrombotic diseases. This includes the introduction of low molecular weight heparins, thrombolytic therapy, and the recognition of the hypercoagulable states. A large portion of this book is dedicated to the thrombotic disorders and their therapy.

Excellent book but with many typos,

Very good book but with the most typos I have seen in any medical textbook published in the West. Some of them pertain to drug doses. Therefore would not recommend to a novice. But a good review if you have some knowledge of the subject. I hope the author does a better job getting the next edition Proofread before it is printed.

I personally know the author and he is a wonderful teacher and lecturer. This book is a tremendous complement to his previous works. It is a book worth owning.
