This set was falsely advertised as 18/10. It's actually 18/8 which is clearly stamped on the back. Mistakes happen, but I have to say this is certainly a whopper! But still, I got a good price on the set (although I can't help feeling gipped). I'll probably end up keeping them... return shipping won't be chump change (pretty hefty in weight). The only positive I can review is that the design is fairly nice. So buyers beware!!!

[...] This is a wonderful "everyday" set. The knives are one piece, not welded, and the handles are solid -- not hollow -- so you can feel quite comfortable putting them in the dishwasher with the rest of the pieces. These are larger, "continental-sized" pieces, and have a wonderful weight and balance. My only minor quibble was that I didn't receive the "sugar spoon" and instead received 2 butter knives. Not a big problem though -- butter knives disappear in my house (I suspect they hang out with the missing socks), so I can always use an extra, whereas I have few uses for a sugar spoon. The shipping from Amazon's partner Cooking.com was swift, and the box was carefully packaged so the items arrived in excellent shape.
