5.0 out of 5 stars Best corkscrew I've ever owned
I picked this up on a friend's recommendation and was so pleased with how easy it was to use that I later bought one for my mother. It works great on the most stubborn of corks. It's practically effortless! I used to use the waiter's corkscrew, but it was often a challenge trying to pull (or wrestle!) the cork all the way out. And I never mastered using the Ah-So. So...

It's practically effortless! I used to use the waiter's corkscrew, but it was often a challenge trying to pull (or wrestle!) the cork all the way out. And I never mastered using the Ah-So. So I highly recommend this corkscrew even though it's a bit pricey. You can probably find a less expensive one of a similar style which should work just as well, I think.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality and function, January 9, 2007

This is our third Henckel opener. One was stolen, and the second had an arm that skipped on the cog after several years use. We reported the problem to Henckel, and they immediately offered a replacement item.
Henckel no longer makes the openers, so if you want one, get it wherever you can while stock lasts.
