Designed to rock on a cutting board for routine tasks, such as chopping or mincing, this 6-inch small chef's knife is made from high-grade, rolled stainless steel and produced using Henckels's Sintermetal Component Technology. This process allows different grades of steel to be combined to form a single integral piece capable of withstanding extreme stress. The cutting edge features a special coating on one side that ensures prolonged sharpness without resharpening, and its full-length tang (the part of the blade that continues through to the end of the handle) gives you a better-balanced and stronger knife. I have used this knife for everything and the handle fits perfectly in your hand (all sizes.) The blade is exceptionally sturdy and it wears very well- I even dropped it a couple of times (oops!) Highly recommended to all the foodies out there.
