I'm a professional cook and have to carry and keep my knives at work...It fits my 14" carver, honing steel, 10 serrated bread, and 8" chef's knife and carving fork well...but that already takes up 5 slots....I end up stacking my paring knife with my peeler, baller, zester, pens and thermometers together....
This is a good beginner knife case...a little expensive, but a placeholder until your ready to plunk down bigger bucks for a larger case.

A very practical and inexpensive way to carry your knives if you're a "cook on the go." 7 slots should be more than enough to carry your essential knives, sharpening steel and maybe tongs, a peeler and/or a zester - it also has a slot to accomodate a cleaver. The Henckels Roll is a generous 19 inches long, which could, conceivably, allow you to carry even your Woodman's Pal. Remember, you'll still need to keep your knives protected with blade guards, otherwise you'll cut into the roll - an extra expense which you need to take into account. Finally, I feel that, had they included a handle, it would have made for a superior product.

I bought this because i was looking for a less bulky bag to carry my knives in. This roll does the job nicely. Its really good quality, with leather outside, and nylon and elastic insides, there even a flap in one end to keep the knife at the very end form being exposed when rolled. Good product
