We admit to being a little partial to Henckels cutlery and have wanted a 5" utility knife for some time for dicing green peppers, fine-slicing onions, and similar tasks. This item has a great smooth feel in the hand, with enough heft in the handle, and enough length on the blade, to provide excellent precision in whatever your smaller cutting tasks might be. "Sharp" goes without saying and our prior experience with Henckels serrated edges leads us to believe the knife might well outlast its owner!
We feel the price paid, especially compared to the Henckels Pro, 4-and-5-star models, was a fine deal and we are so completely satisfied, we highly recommend this outstanding piece of cutlery!

Excellent for slicing ripe tomatoes and thick-skinned fruit as well as dinner rolls, this is a great little knife to complement a quality set of sharp non-serrated knives.

Have 2 of these, and we use them every day. Serrated stays a little sharper than the straight edges, and great for skinned fruits and veggies; breads.

I bought this for my wife because our oft-used serrated knife used all the time for veggies was getting dull after years of use. I was willing to pay for a really good knife. What we got was a knife that is really well made, is sharp, but was just not very comfortable to use. Our old, not very expensive knife had a larger handle, somewhat bigger in the dimension parallel to the blade. This knife has a handle that is about the same size in this dimension as well as cross-wise, and both smaller than our old knife. What happens with this is that it's harder to maintain the blade direction as you cut. In my hands it wants to angle the blade to the left and consistently the cucumber slices (for example)come out the right thickness at the top and too thick at the bottom. That simply should not happen with a knife this expensive. I thought maybe it would just take some getting used to this new blade and it would be fine, but after a month of use I notice my wife is back to using the old knife, and I try to persist in using this new one. Some present to my wife!

This knife is really terrific for the sorts of things a small serrated utility knife should be used for. Great for cutting those fruits and vegetables and breads which have a tight outer skin and soft inside -- it saws efficiently through the outside (without slipping off and risking to cut your hand) without mashing the contents within.

Over the holidays I used a friend's knife set. It broke while I was trying to cut a hubbard squash, which it was not made for. I searched for a replacement and the cost at this site was less than half at the manufacturer's site. It took longer than I expected for my friend to receive it, but arrived within the time-frame given. My friend was very happy with the replacement.
