This mid-priced line of Henckel knives, called "Classic" by the company, is a full-tang, single-piece, three-rivet line with sturdy black plastic handles. The handles are notched at the end to prevent the hand from sliding off during use. Although they are not razor sharp right from the package, their edges are sharp enough for the average cook. According to Henckel, all knives in this line are dishwasher safe, but you should expect more rapid dulling under the harsh conditions.

The slicer has a long straight blade that curves up gently two-thirds of the way toward the tip. The tip is extremely sharp, allowing for an exact and easy puncture to begin cutting. This knife is balanced evenly between blade and handle to make straight slicing more comfortable.

This is a useful blade to have in the kitchen, as it is great both for slicing melon and carving meat.

This knife is very high quality and is especially good for slicing through ham, etc... I would highly recommend it.

I find this knife a excellent all pupose kitchen knife. I use it for everything.

This knife is by far my favorite knife. I have used many other knives (chicago, farberware, cuisine...), but this knife has better balance and stays sharp much longer. Going to get the chef's knife next.

This knife is great for carving. Slices through roasts like butter. Has a nice sleek design and
easy to handle. Love it!!!!!

It is great knife, but if you are looking for a German made, this is not it...It is made in Spain..It is probably similar quality, but Henckels are genuine German items, not sure why they start making them other countries..

Very good quality knife. Bought the sharpener with it ....also excellent. I had lost this knife in my Henckles set months ago and missed that size for slicing a variety of items

Never having purchased a carving knife, I was refreshingly surprised at how great this knife is, especially for the price. It's very sharp--very little effort needed to carve through meat, or really anything. I've been turning to it more and more. You won't be disappointed.

This knife is awesome. Have owned it for several years now and it still retains its sharpness like new. Of course, you need to run it through a sharpener once in a while to restore to cutting edge but it springs back as new. use the Henckels sharpener which can be bought on AMZN as well. Trust me, you will love this knife!!
