The difference between the Plus collection and regular Everedge knives lies in the handles. Formed of contoured, almost cushy santoprene instead of polypropylene, Plus handles are handsomely-backed with brushed stainless steel for added leverage and a sleek, contemporary look. Ideal for a student apartment or vacation rental, this 13-piece set includes: a 2-3/4-inch paring knife, 6-inch utility knife, 8-inch chef's knife, 8-inch bread knife, 5-1/2-inch boning knife, 5-inch tomato knife, 6 4-1/2-inch steak knives, and a graphite-painted storage block.
Because of their light weight, Everedge Plus knives are well-suited to small hands and also help reduce tiredness when a large amount of food preparation is required. The molded handles are quite comfortable and resist breakage. While not precision-ground or hand-honed, the stainless-steel blades nevertheless slice and chop with ease. Each features a different serration depending upon its function. All the pieces store in the included silver-painted wood block. Nice looking set. I've never owned a set of knives that cut as poorly as these (at any price). The knives tear food and do not make a clean cut.

When I set up my wedding registry, I knew nothing about knives and registered for the least expensive set they had at the store. I realize now that knives are one of those things where you get what you pay for. Knowing that, I'm genuinely surprised by how low the price is for these knives. We bought this set last week and it is a huge improvement. It's not professional quality but it's more than enough for the average cook. The knives cut like a dream and the handles are very comfortable. I love the santoprene - it's very similar to the OXO tools that the rest of my kitchen is stocked with; in fact these handles are a perfect match with the OXO SteeL collection. The steak knives look fabulous with my flatware, too, which is always a plus. Two thumbs up.

Chefs Knife Broke in Half on a Pepper,

I bought this set almost two years ago. It's true that the knives cut sort of "funny". Not a real clean cut. But the kicker is, I was chopping a red pepper for some chili, and the chef's knife snapped in half! It was not under much force, and in fact the knife was barely used. These are not good knives.
