When kitchen tasks require just the basics, such as cutting an apple or chopping onion, Fine Edge Pro knives do the trick. The blades are thinner and not as strong as those on knives from J.A. Henckels premier lines, and there is no bolster. Yet the sharp knives are easily honed, and feel lightweight and comfortable with their contoured black plastic handles fastened over the full rat-tail tang with three aluminum rivets. Both the handle and blade feature a satin finish for a contemporary look. Made in countries other than Henckels' home base of Germany, International knives are nonetheless manufactured to strict quality standards and are covered by a lifetime warranty against defects. A great series for a beginning cook, the knives are dishwasher-safe, although Henckels recommends washing them by hand. |
