Keith Nichols assembled some of the hottest European 1920's sounding jazz musicians for this recording event. The tunes are those of Fletcher Henderson from 1924-1931, and the 13 talented musicians capture the spirit and style of the era. Despite lack of vocals (all but a couple are purely instrumental),the 22 recordings are true to the era and will be enjoyed by those who enjoy the hotter side of the Royal Society Jazz Orchestra, Charleston Chasers, and The San Francisco Starlight Orchestra.

This album has about the best contemporary renderings of 1920's popular jazz that I have ever heard! No cutsie doo-dads like are typically added to make something "seem like" the 20's. This is the real stuff. The arrangements are rich, energetic, and technically top notch. You can't be disappointed.
