This review is from: Henderson's Orbital Tumors (Hardcover)
If you want a book on orbital tumors, this is the one to get. Your options are this book, the Karcioglu book, the Shields book, or Rootmans book on orbital disease. I found this book to be the best. Why? It does a nice job or presenting the worlds litature and the Mayo experience on rare orbital tumors. The Shields book is mainly a picture book with only minimal text or literature review. The Karcioglu book I found to be uninspiring, and Rootmans book while good, can be nauseatingly over done at times (particularly the first chapters describing his approach and classification of orbital processes).
Hendersons is a classic, and would be my first choice for good coverage of rare and common orbital tumors. If you are looking for a book specific to orbital surgery, than this is not your book. The only decent book on orbital surgery out there is Rootman's book. |
