Product Description

There are times when you need an oversize rainfly, mostly for working and cooking in camp during rainy weather. Hennessy has responded with the new hex fly, a double-wide, 10' x 12' PU-coated polyester tarp with 6 tie-out points for maximum flexibility in positioning. This fly is carefully detailed with factory seam sealing and pockets for stowing tie out cords. Because of the innovative hexagonal shape, the Hex Fly can be used with any hammock model. The hex fly can be pulled down all the way to the ground around the hammock for protection during storms or spread out to provide a 120 sq. ft. sunshade. It can also be pitched between two hammocks to provide a work or cooking marquee. The dark green PU coated polyester hex fly weighs in at only 1.9 lbs.

This tarp was perfectly waterproof without having to do any waterproofing coatings yourself.

Provides great water protection for my Duo ENO hammock, but the black rope used to tie down to stakes is very hard to see during the day and at night.

Sure the tarp is a bit large on nice days, but when you get a cold, windy, rainy day these tarps were GREAT!

Well built. Everything the product description mentioned. I have a 11.5 foot hammock and it covered it well. My only dislike is the weight, its on the heavy side. But the price was right and it works really well in bad weather. I think i'll just get a small light weight diamond for dry UL trips were I need to save on the weight.

The tie outs are well reinforced & the pockets for the tie lines are convenient. It is somewhat on the bulky side, but it well block wind well and keep you dry.

I liked this tarp a lot, the only down side is its weight. It is a very large tarp that can be set up in porch mode while giving you good coverage from rain. When set up for sleep mode you have room to change and room to keep your pack dry. I lay my pack on a plastic bag under the tarp. You have many options for configuring this tarp that you don't with a small on. If the weight of 1lb 9oz is not to much then you will love this tarp. The quality is good and has 6 tie offs. Before I bought this tarp I looked at a lot of others, for the price I thought this was the best.

Spent a stormy night underneath this tarp in my hammock hitched up to two trees that weren't big enough for this storm. Quite a wild night, but this tarp kept me totally dry. Ordering 3 more.

This large hammock rain fly is perfect because it can not only cover your hammock, but also your pack and at least 6 other adult packs. This past summer I was backpacking in the Smokies and we endured some serious downpours. This rain fly was the only thing that kept me sleeping dry and cozy, lulled to sleep by the sound of the rain (instead of freaking out, like I would have with a smaller fly).

My son and I used these on a week long trip to the Boundary Waters. Sure the tarp is a bit large on nice days, but when you get a cold, windy, rainy day these tarps were GREAT! Plenty of coverage to keep both of us 100% dry under them in our hammocks. It is a added bonus that they come with tie downs on each corner, One less thing to add to the tarp.

The tarp is a bit heavier than some, but I know it is well built and can stand up to 35+ MPH winds broadside for almost an entire night with no issues.

Slept under it two nights in my hammock on a recent trip. It was easy to deploy and provided great coverage for my Grand Trunk double hammock. I used a 4x8 ground cloth underneath to stand on and set my pack. It was misty and drizzly the second night, but all stayed dry. Comes with plenty of rope for the ridge and for the corner tie-outs. Love it!

I got this to use with my Grand Trunk Skeeter Beeter 2 person hammock. It does the job splendidly. I have also used it tarp camping. It is large enough to offer several options. My only complaint would be that it does not have a tab/ring in the middle, but there are ways around that too.
