SYNOPSIS

From famed independent auteur Henry Jaglom (Irene in Time, Déjà Vu, Last Summer in the Hamptons, Queen of the Lot), recognized by Los Angeles Times as "one of America's most important filmmakers," comes a sophisticated modern comedy about women, love, neuroses and the food that binds them all... Voyeuristically crafted in a cinéma vérité style to allow its actresses to be spontaneous and honest, Henry Jaglom's Eating is an often hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking and always thought-provoking film.

I bought Henry Jaglom's book of the film at the same time as the DVD and have enjoyed the experience of being part of these women's worlds. Jaglom is an educator. I love lots of films, but I cannot watch his films without learning something about myself and others. The subject matter of eating and its impact on women's mental as well as physical and social well-being may not strike one as the basis of a feature film. But the performances are brave and witty. You will like these women. You will be fascinated by them and you will feel privileged to be part of their lives for two hours.
