This book is one of the most helpful sources to understanding and looking at Henry Moore's world, work and learning his regard for the objects of reality he transformed into his sculptures. It is truly amazing and it is the actual sketchbook of his very own sheep. It is a wonderful book.

I don't think of Henry Moore as a pastoral artist, or even an artist in 2 dimensions. But this reproduction of his sketches at a sheep farm is instructive. About sheep. About Drawing. About showing volume on the flat page. A lovely gift for any fiber fan.

I've always been a fan of Henry Moore's sculptures, but I absolutely love his sheep drawings. The pages have been copied impeccably, capturing even the stray marks of his sketchbook.
