Henry van de Velde is one of the most successful designers and architects of the 20th century and was a pioneer of the Bauhaus. Until now his complex and comprehensive work was only discussed in the fields of architecture and book art. With the catalogue raisonee: Interior Design and Decorative Arts an academic void is now closed. The first volume is dedicated to Works in Metal and includes jewelry, flatware, luminary (lighting Fixtures). New photographs of the objects are accompanied by designs and historic figures.
