Got 2 of the Breezer style at the Daytona Beach flea market for $12 a piece. Don't know how the guy was able to do it for that little, but he was (they weren't knock offs, either -- I verified that through the Henschel website).

Appear to be washable as well as crushable, but watch the hat sizing. Most cheap hats I buy come in large to fit nicely but the Breezer fit me in the medium size. As I found out, higher quality hats like the Henschel are generally a better fit in a smaller size (they don't guesstimate like overseas firms do).

You can't go wrong with these! Breezes go through the mesh to provide a cooling effect and nothing much seems to bother these caps.

I own three of these hats. They represent some of the wisest purchases I have ever made. I must walk to keep healthy, and the sun was a serious problem for me. The Breezer hat deals with the problem of the sun without compromising comfort due to heat build-up, which often happens with other hats. Air flows in and out of the hat, creating a natural air-conditioning effect.

Rival hat makers also make a good products, but this is an uber-hat. The fabrics, the fit, and the airflow system work as Henschel advertizes. To clean them, soak them in water with some detergent for a day, then rinse and soak them in soap-free water. They dry in a few hours. I leave them hanging in the morning and they are dry when I get back home from work. I recommend these hats without any hesitation.

I bought it as a sun protection for everyday use this summer and this hat is perfect. The hat is breathable and can also be crushed without changing it's appearance. The price is also reasonable and it also looks good on me.

I bought one of these last spring for outdoor work (I'm in construction), and this hat has held up to constant use. It's breathable, washable, crushable, and always comes out looking good. I've really ran mine through the ringer, and have only good things to say. Mine is still in good shape and am about to buy one for my father for his birthday.

I am now on my second breezer hat. The First one I wore out and I loved it. I bought a new one and because I had lost more hair than I thought, and after a full day in the sun my forehead had a nice sunburn on my forehead. I now use a towel to cover the holes in the nylon mesh. The towel works but for my next hat I'll purchase one that protects my forehead and not just my face.

I wanted a hat to wear with my safari shirts, but I will be wearing it with everything this Spring and Summer. It looks nice for casual and semi-dress wear. The mesh crown allows air to circulate nicely, but it still protects your head from sun and water. I could not believe how good a quality this hat was for the price. I have paid much more for lesser quality hats. This is easily a forty dollar value. This is the perfect hat for recreational outings like Theme Parks and alot less than what you will pay for one there. I highly recommend it. I can even wear in when in the convertible with the top down. The airflow is good and the strap makes sure it stays secure even at highway speeds. This is a great hat that will make you look like you just came from filming another remake of "Solomon's Mines". I really like this hat! I walk every day and wanted a hat to keep the sun off my face, neck, and ears. I looked around a lot before settling on this one. I like how it is open at the top to allow for ventilation. It would be easy for a hat like this to get really hot without that convenience.

Great Hat. Packs well. I don't look stupid. Offers excelent sun protection. Tend to shrink after diving in pool. Will purchase again.

After searching for a hat with a broad brim that would satisfy both me and my dermatologist, I took a chance and ordered the Breezer, sight unseen. It lives up to the claims made in the description, including the ability to collapse for packing in a suitcase and still look good when unpacked. It's well constructed and sturdy without being heavy. The fact that it's made in the US and still comes at a good price makes it all the more appealing. It's comfortable and sharp - not at all 'geeky'!

Ordered this hat because every other hat I had made my head sweat, that ran into my eyes when hiking. This hat works great, beyond expectations. Made in the U.S.A. makes it perfect. Sizing for me was right on.
