Isha Schwaller's Magnum Opus,

This review is from: Her-Bak: Egyptian Initiate (Paperback)
This is a book to be studied en enjoyed carefully, despite the seemingly light-hearted approach induced by the narrative style. It is the work R.A. Schwaller, her husband, could not write because he is a he. This is Her legacy to future generations, Her Magnum Opus, and the perfect and utterly necessarily companion to all René Schwaller's work.
Why? Because it is, intelligible, digestible, contrary to most of R.A. Schwaller's work; more so, it potentiates her husband's work: without it, R.A. Schwaller's work is doomed to stay where it is today: brilliant, but unintelligible for most readers, because it flies over most people's heads. This work is down-to-earth, technical, dense, fascinating.

What is a Neter?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Her-Bak: Egyptian Initiate (Paperback)
I read this book about 7 years ago. I have purchased it several times. As I have recomended it to my friends, and of course I loaned my copy to them. I should have started my own library card system. The Author has spent his life, studying Kemet (Egypt) with his wife by his side. There are metaphysical things that he did not innerstand, but his attempt at understanding is excellant. I recommend this work for everyone that is seeking Maat, externally. As a start to understanding, what went on in Kemet (Egypt).

Not really recommended - get 'The Living Face of Ancient Egypt' instead,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Her-Bak: Egyptian Initiate (Paperback)
While 'The Living Face of Ancient Egypt' by the same author is an excellent and readable novel that tells you more about the essence of the ancient Egyptian religion than all of the scholarly non-fiction put together, this follow-up (Egyptian Initiate) is in contrast an almost unreadable more academic work and I can't recommend it except with that warning.
