Between her family, her friends, and her job, Allison Doll has plenty of drama in her life without adding in a guy. Especially, a guy who has his heart set on leaving to play professional baseball. When the handsome Ashton Boyd begins showing up at her job and wisking her away to lunch or dinner, Allison is cautious. Afterall, Ashton is a minor celebrity and she's already got enough things to deal with. As Allison and Ashton spend time together, she is undeniably drawn to him, but hesitant to allow herself to pursue the relationship. Afterall, it would only take one phone call for Ashton to leave her... forever.

Her Best Catch by Lindi Peterson is a sweet, mostly light-hearted read. I read this story in less than 48 hours which testifies to the story's ability to hook the reader. Although some parts of the plot could be easily anticipated, I found it to be authentic and entertaining. Allison's character development was interesting to watch and the first person point-of-view was effective. The comic moments in the book were a nice touch. I recommend Her Best Catch to fans of Chistian chick lit and Christian romance.

If you like romance you will enjoy Lindi's debut novel. Allison Doll is dealing with many changes in her life. Her mother is turning fifty and acting very strange. Her best friends have become a couple and she is feeling left out.
A new guy comes to her church and sparks fly - maybe a little too much. Allison faces more than one challenge on her journey to romance. Come along with her and find out if she finds the man of her dreams.

This was a good book, which I enjoyed reading. I stayed up late, in order to finish it and see what happened in the end. I thought it was a well written, old time type of romance, before everything became sex and bad language. This did not have any of that, and it was so refreshing! What a pleasure to know that an author can actually write, without having to resort to using the F word and constant bed hopping.

More About the Author

I can't help but think my love of reading led to my passion to write. I've always had stories running around in my brain. That's probably why I wasn't very good at math. The fictional characters living up there pushed the numbers out of the way.

It's an honor to be able to bring the characters to life and put their stories on pages.

I live in a small town Northwest of Atlanta, Georgia with my husband, 2 cats, 1 dog and 2 birds. (The cats rule, by the way!) We're a few hours away from the beaches of South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, a couple hours away from the mountains of Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee.

The best of both worlds, I say.

When God reeled me in and showed me true love, my stories really came to life. For when we know we are loved well, we know we can love well.
