About the Author
Jean Norman Peters and Gizmo live in Northern Nevada in the Sierra foothills. They are members of Paws for Love pet therapy group and volunteer at libraries to help children with their reading. Gizmo loves to snuggle up to a child who is having difficulty with the words, but never criticizes, just helps by being there.
Mary Jane Archer is retired after nearly 30 years of working in the fiscal arena for the State of California. She moved to Nevada in 2001 and set out to turn her passion for photography into a new career. In her business, MJ Archer Photography, she specializes in pet portraiture and fine art photography. Mary Jane met Jean through the Paws for Love pet therapy group where she and her dog, Lucky, visited hospitals, senior retirement homes and have participated in the children's reading program, Paws to Read.
