5.0 out of 5 stars Blissful Postmodern Rock Girls, May 22, 2003

"If this world was as cool as us I might feel at home for once." I can relate to this sentiment (from track 3). This EP goes a long way to making me feel at home.

I've had the pleasure of seeing these ladies live and this EP is the next best thing to taking them home. Wonderful, charged lyrics - anthems for those of us who wonder if there's something better than this commodified world we've inherited. Driving vocals and great guitar. And let's not forget our beautiful drummer. I hope they give us more soon.

If your eyes are open, this is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS CD ROCKS HARD!!, April 8, 2003

I found this cd in my college radio station. And I love
the raw honesty of it. The vocals, guitars - it's so
in your face. The bass and drums are just penatrating.
I can't wait to hear what this band does next. It's melodic
but defiant. It's youthful but mature songwriting.
Very unpredictable. Sounds better than anything else I hear
on the radio.

5.0 out of 5 stars This cd ROCKS!, October 7, 2002
This review is from: Her Father's Son (Audio CD)
This cd just simply rocks. I keep playing it over and over.
I love screaming "This routine is killing me" right along
with the cd. Track 3 "Cool As Us" is in my opinion the
best song. But all the songs are very strong. I love
the crunchy tones of the guitar. The guitar and bass
hooks stay with you and drums seem to beat right through me.
When I listen to this cd, I don't think these GIRLS rock. I think this BAND rocks.
BUY IT!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars SOLID ROCK RECORD. Simply 3 CHICKS w/ a guitar bass & drum, June 6, 2003

i think this is an album about frustration--of trying to escape--day job, parents, lovers, rountines. I love the crunchy opening guitar tones of 'aimlessly' that meets the rolling drums and bass. and 'cool as us' starts with droning guitar and then launches into the sweetest pop chorus. I haven't wrapped my mind around 'littledisasterbook' yet. I don't know what it means but I'll keep listening. the singer's vocals are so unique--pj harvey meets liz phair meets

I'm a big fan of this band, destined to be a major American Voice.

I'd give it 5 stars but it's an EP. Keep it coming!
