Book Description

Romance at its best!

"Katheryn Lane does it again!" - Christy English, author of The Queen's Pawn

When Mary Delaney is offered an all-expenses paid, luxury holiday in South America with her journalist boyfriend, the last thing she expects to happen is to find herself stuck in the middle of nowhere with no boyfriend, no money, and no way of getting back to London. When an irresistibly sexy landowner, Don Paulo de Castile, tells her that he has just won her in a game of poker, should she believe him, or try to find out what has happened to her missing boyfriend?

Paulo didn't realise at the beginning of his poker game that he was playing to win Mary, a woman who bears a striking resemblance to a person he once loved. However, it takes more than a game of cards to win Mary's heart and Paulo isn't the only local man interested in her. As well as battling for Mary's affection, he has to fight off the attentions of the local mafia in a fight that can have only one outcome . . .

"A delightful tale full of danger, excitement and romance" 5 Stars!

"There was such great chemistry between Mary and the sexy Paulo, I couldn't stop reading" - Sarah Elle Emm, author of Marrying Missy

"Great entertainment . . . You will fall in love with the spirited damsel in distress that doesn't fear anyone" - Readers Favorite

"Lots of flat-out chemistry" - Regina Puckett, author of Waiting for Mary Elizabeth

Put a great romance novel on your Kindle and fall in love with the sexy Latin lover from South America!

Editorial Reviews

Review

Praise for Her Latin Lover

"Her Latin Lover will capture your attention from the beginning. Meet Mary Delaney, a 20-something on vacation with her boyfriend. They are in South America, a long way from home. She wakes up to discover her boyfriend is gone. She realizes she is stranded and her boyfriend took all of their cash. She also finds out more details of what lead her boyfriend to abandon her when she meets Paolo.

Even though she is stranded in South America with little money, she makes the best out of her situation. She must depend on a complete stranger named Paulo. Paulo is mysterious and caring. Mary is drawn to him.

I read Her Latin Lover in two nights. Mary's adventures of trying to find out what happened to her boyfriend, learning more about Paulo and making it work in South America was an exciting read. She was forced to grow up, find her way, and along the way follow her heart."

From the Author

I hope you enjoy reading Her Latin Lover. I love to travel and visit new places. Luckily I have never been in a situation like Mary Delaney's, but I started this novel by thinking about what would happen if someone woke up one morning and found themselves in the middle of nowhere with no money. What could have happened the night before to lead to such a situation and what would they do next?

5.0 out of 5 stars Great second romance! March 21, 2012
By REgina
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Katheryn Lane had me at hello! Her Latin Lover is a wonderful blend of spunkiness and romance. It has to be everyone's worst fear to be stuck in a foreign country without any friends or money. Fortunately there is a handsome man who is willing to come to the rescue of the damsel in distress, but this damsel is no one to be messed with. She has backbone to spare. Of course you can't have a romance without a little mutual attraction and lots of flat-out chemistry. If you have ever fantasized about the strong silent type this is the book for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderfully Crafted Love Story! April 20, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Mary Delaney, a young school teacher from London, wakes up in a dingy hotel in rural South America. She's been abandoned and left penniless by her partying boyfriend. On top of that, she learns that a local man has taken ownership of her during a card game. The man who won Mary in the card game is haunted by his family's a sorrowful and violent past. Mary's actions during a scuffle with the local mafia delay her return home and threaten her future. She struggles to communicate and understand the rules and the laws of a foreign country.

This is a wonderfully crafted love story that lands the reader in the middle of South America. The characters are well developed. The images are sharp and clear. The story evolves quickly and smoothly. This is a very good story that can be read in one day and remembered for a lifetime.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting!! October 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Latin Lover was an exciting read. I love a good instant attraction, and this author gave me that with Mary and Paulo. Mary is a considerate and trusting woman who is taken advantage of by her boyfriend. Paulo swoops in and saves the day, as any sexy, honorable man would. Their attraction blossoms, until the unexpected happens. I was on the edge of my seat, the whole time. I wished the romance would have happened sooner, but all in all, it was great. I will definitely read more from this author. Pick this up, you will love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Latin has an err of mystery with the romance June 26, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Katheryn Lane's novel Her Latin Lover is a creative Romance with an interest situation that keeps giving more and more to the reader as they read on & On.

Her character Mary Delaney is in a pickle. This young school teacher from London, been abandoned and left penniless by her partying boyfriend. This woman end up in a dingy and dark room she does not know in a place she is unfamiliar with and in a daze fog. Questions ensue as she awakes.. Romance filled the air and well as excitement. The reader will get caught up in the mystery as well as the romance.

It is a short tale is a cute romance. It is a kind of a throwback to romance of old, like the old Mills & Boon novels of 1970's. Ms Lane is talented in her penmanship. Her romance overtones are lovely and will draw the readers in

The only problem I have with this book is her research of South America is very lax. She tries and fails in her few times she tries to impress me with her South American knowledge. However this does not take away from the romantic story.

Worth getting this romance tale

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE Her Latin Lover! April 4, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I thoroughly enjoyed Her Latin Lover by author Katheryn Lane! Mary Delaney was a refreshing leading lady, full of spunk, determination, and spirit. There was such great chemistry between Mary and the sexy Paulo, I couldn't stop reading. I finished this novel in 24 hours, which is saying a lot, as I have two preschoolers to keep up with! I was pulled into the exotic location and could feel the heat...from the Latin American countryside to the characters! This is a delightful tale full of danger, excitement, and romance. I am verifiably a fan of author Katheryn Lane!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Read October 13, 2012

What a great beach read! The story starts with Mary Delaney and her boyfriend Nick going to South America for a working holiday. Nick shows he is still is a loser and hasn't changed much. He goes off gambling and loses big time. Mary and Nick have been together for two years and he has done some wild things to her in the past so this doesn't surprise her.

When she wakes up in a dirty hotel in Corazon, a rural area in South America, she realizes that all the cash they had and Nick's passport and wallet are not in the hotel safe. Her personal hell starts. She has $16 in cash, no credit card and her cell phone reaches it's max minutes in the first hour of her realization.

Mary finds herself in the middle of a strange country with very little Spanish and in the hands of the man who "won" her in the card game and took Nick's cash. The story evolved well and the characters were believable as well. Mary discovers a lot about her strength and Paulo her savior too. There are two reveals that are equally shocking too.

I wish it was longer! All in all a very good read.

More About the Author

I'm a wife, teacher, author and mother of two boisterous boys, so most of my days are taken up with finding lost school shoes, getting stuck in traffic and wondering why I always join the queue that doesn't move in the supermarket. However, I try to forget these daily problems (and the fact that I burnt the toast again this morning) by losing myself in a good book and writing novels that give readers a break from everyday life.

Open one of my books and escape on an adventure to an exotic location, because it's easier to buy a book than it is to book an air ticket.

Have a break, read a book!
