This book is the first installment of this new series and it is great from the first page to the last. There is love, drama, misunderstanding, mystery and murder and this is the just book one of the series. You will not be able to put this book down until the last page and then you will be more than ready for book two of this series.

Activist Malcolm Braddock wants to have nothing to do with what his recently deceased father stood for. Malcolm is the black sheep of the Braddock clan. When he learns that his father's executive assistant wants him to succeed his father, he is dead set against it. He is nothing like his father. Or is he? Gloria Kinsley, executive assistant to former Senator Braddock, has decided that Malcolm would be the best person to succeed his father as senator. She just has to figure out how she is going to convince him that he is the best man for the job. Gloria is going to have to use all of her feminine wilds along with her intelligence to persuade Malcolm to do what she knows he was destined to do.

Her Lover's Legacy was a good beginning to the Braddock series. It does a good job of introducing all of the characters and giving background information on their lives. It also sets up the plot behind what really happened to Senator Braddock. There are just enough unanswered questions to make you want to read the next book in the series to find out what will happen next. Her Lover's Legacy was a good introductory book.

Her Lovers Legacy is the dynamic start to the Braddock Series. The story line and main characters keeps you going from start to end. The book tells the story of Malcolm and Gloria, whose lives are thrown together after the sudden death of Malcolm's father/Gloria's boss. Gloria works throughout the book to break through the walls Malcolm has erected to help him see his "legacy". The stubborn ways of both characters makes for some pretty heated and sexy moments in the book. The added twist of the red flags surrounding the death of the Senator will leave you longing for the next book in the series. Ms Byrd has really set the bar high with her story. This is a definite must read story.

Her Lover's Legacy, the first installment int he Braddocks Secret Son series starts off with a bang!! I really enjoyed the chemistry between Malcolm and Gloria. Adrianne does as only she can, I really liked the aloofness (is that a word?) with both Gloria and Malcom and they were so much alike it was funny to see them bump heads all the time, when in fact they were so in love with each other they couldn't see straight. I also liked the lead in to the next story. Good job Adrianne.

This is my first time reading anything by this author. I really enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to the other siblings stories. I loved Gloria even though she was pushy. LOL at the driving. I dont think anyone will be disappointed. I am looking forward to reading more books by Adrianne Byrd.

Lover's Legacy is the first installment written by a group of authors who collaborated on The Braddocks series. After Malcolm Braddock's father passes away, everyone expects him to step into the late senator's shoes. Spearheading the campaign to talk him into it is Gloria Kingsley, the late senator's executive assistant. Malcolm has no interest in taking over his family's political reins. He would much rather fight the battle for his numerous causes on the front line and not from behind a desk. But Gloria is one tempting woman, both in the office and out of it. The attraction between the two of them leaves him completely defenseless.

Gloria knows Malcolm would be a top notch senator. She's just not sure why he can't see it for himself. When she sets out to prove this fact to him, she's more than surprised at the sizzling attraction that springs up between the two of them. Once things become personal, can she keep the two worlds separate? Or will her plan for his political future tear their budding relationship apart?

With my busy schedule, I have not actively sought out any new series. I'm already an avid fan of more than 15 of them already. Because I love all of Ms. Byrd's books, it was a given I would buy this one. What I didn't expect was to become obsessed with the family. Adrianne Byrd does an amazing job of making me love this couple and with them, the storyline that leads into the next books. Who knew she would hook me? I'm headed to the bookstore today to grab the next installment, Sex and the Single Braddock by Robyn Amos. Who knows, maybe I'll add a few more authors to my `favorite list.'

This is a great book of love, murder, and intrigue. Adrianne Byrd's "Her Lover's Legacy" sets the pace for the other books in the series. It's a great start to what's happening with the Braddock clan and those they love.

In this book, Malcolm has trouble accepting his father's death and may even feel that he did not do enough while his father was alive. Malcolm and Senator Braddock did not share the views on his issues, therefore, Malcolm distanced himself before his father's death. Now after the senator's death, Gloria Kingsley, the senator's "right hand" assistant teams up with others and try to persuade Malcolm that he is the man to follow in his father's footsteps -- that is, his political seat.

While burning the midnight oil in Senator Braddock's office, Malcolm and Gloria become closer. Gloria has beliefs that the Senator's death was no accident and begin putting clues she has together. She ask Malcolm's assistance in helping her to solve the mystery. During this time, Malcolm realizes that Gloria was not only her father's great asset, but that Gloria is downright persuasive in everything she sets out to do.

Malcolm also sees Gloria for the beautiful woman that she is. In turn, Gloria is not all work and no play as others believe her to be. Gloria realizes that she cares deeply for Malcolm and set out to prove to him that he also cares for and for what his father left behind -- a job that was not finished which Gloria feels Malcolm is the perfect candidate to finish.

Can Gloria convince Malcolm the man, as well as the man who is now her lover, that he must finish his father's legacy or will Malcolm let everything that his father started go unfinish?

This book was full of intrigue and mystery, but it was laced with the right about of love and romance. Again, Ms. Byrd, great book and great start.

Good book. I do not expect anything less from this author. I have read all four books in this series. Each of the authors were good.

Ms Byrd is one of the best romance writers out there (IMO). However this book even tho, I enjoyed the story is not one of her best ones butits still worth reading. Malcolm and Gloria make an interesting couples, one of those 'in denial' ones that I tend to find irritating but in this case it worked. It did take me a while to warm up to the heroine, she just seemd too pushy and manipulative to me, no wonder the hero did not trust her words of love. My only disappointment is the ending, they did seem to rush to lets get married status a bit fast but thats Harlequin for ya! lol

I guess I'm going to start reading Ms. Byrd's novels after this. The chemistry between Malcolm and Gloria was explosive as well as funny. The storyline had suspense and kept me turning pages, and the other characters were great. I'm glad this is a continuation series because I can't wait to read what happens next.
