Book Description

Anna Broxton’s marriage to the top Tommy John surgeon in the West and their idyllic ranch life in the Flathead Valley of Montana makes most women envy her. That is, until one simple moment changes her family forever.

Unable to bear the presence of her once adored husband, she abandons her life and finds "her nowhere" a small organic farm on the Southern tip of Sweden. There, she tills the soil, plants seeds, learns to pickle cucumbers, and fights her attraction to a younger man.

Her unlikely friendships with two unique women awaken her to suffering other than her own and help her face her part in the tragedy. She returns home to find her husband has found his own nowhere and must fight for whatever love remains in the gaps of their shattered family.

Her Nowhere is a tearjerker about relationships and what they can survive—if we let them. It is appropriate for book club discussion about our own unique tragedies, how we respond to them, how they shape us, humanitarianism, organic farming, and the imperfection of motherhood.

Bonus - Book Group Discussion Questions included.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEYOND an awesome read!! May 22, 2012
By BeccaM

This book was a "can't put down" type of read. I read another person's review here about reading it on her iPhone with a cracked screen; made me chuckle because I would have done the same thing had it been necessary-----it was THAT GOOD. I downloaded this book to my Kindle during a day trip with my family, and could not stop reading it until I finished it. WOW-the eloquence of the author and her brilliant ability to convey emotion! The entire book spoke to me as a woman-wife, mother, and child. Every one of us has a "nowhere" period in our lives, even if for different reasons/under different circumstances. Navigating the "nowhere" was, for me, this book's greatest power, and greatest message.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it! May 9, 2012

I love this book and can't wait to read the next book Brigetta Schwaiger writes. I read the entire book in two days on the cracked screen of my iPhone because I don't have a Kindle and I couldn't put it down. Probably one of my all time favorites.
The characters are developed beautifully. The storyline is dripping with clever symbolism. And.....the icing on the cake....it contains an important life lesson...which is something I look for in everything I read. Oh it's there, people. It's there. This is a must read. I talk about it daily to everyone I know.
Write more please, Brigetta!

5.0 out of 5 stars First book review ever thanks to Her Nowhere! June 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is my first book review ever. I happened to get this book when it was free, but I would have gladly paid for it. I loved it so much. Anna's story is heartbreaking, but her resolution is so sweet. I fell in love with Lena's character. How amazing it would be if we all had a Lena! :) Please read this book. No matter what you're going through right now, you will be able to relate to this book somehow.

5.0 out of 5 stars No reader will be untouched by this February 24, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is definitely not what I expected. Was a little slow to start, but a quarter into the book and I couldn't put it down. A simple tale but told with heart-stirring emotion that should leave no reader untouched.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bittersweet, heartfelt, trauma December 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
How do you deal with fate and the loss of loved ones, let alone the tragedy of losing beloved children unexpectedly? Who gives a person skills to cope properly before they lose who they are to rage and sorrow? Where do you go? How do you mourn? How do you come back from what felt like the dead?

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful story May 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I will usually bypass a story like this because the subject matter hits too close to my own fears of experiencing loss. However, I'm so glad I didn't chicken out on reading this one. The story was beautifuly woven so that as the reader you are gently pulled into the main character's pain and her struggle to find her way back to herself. I finished the book a week ago but thoughts about the characters continue to linger like memories of very dear friends. I highly recommend this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars MUST READ May 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I can not say enough about this book. The writing flowed, and the characters drew you in. Before I even finished the book, I was telling all of my book lover friends that it was a must read. It will move you, and will stay with you long after you have finished reading it. When you reach the end you will be satisfied but sad that it's over. Can't wait for the next book from this author.
